Jacksonville park shootings: Officers seek information about Buick LeSabre

Jacksonville officers are asking the public for help in an investigation into shootings at two city parks.

Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said they located a Buick LeSabre that witnesses described seeing at two city parks where two people were shot in the evening hours of June 20.

A 12-year-old boy was shot in the leg and a woman was grazed by a bullet in two drive-by shootings at Charles Clark and Yancey parks, which are two miles apart in Northwest Jacksonville.

JSO said officers believe there were many people at the parks during the shootings.

Officers are asking anyone who may have seen the older model blue Buick LeSabre in the area before or after the shooting to call JSO at 904-630-0500 or email JSOCrimeTips@jaxsheriff.org.
