JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Three teens were hurt in a drive-by shooting in the Lakeshore area on Sunday night.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded around 7:30 p.m. to a reported shooting.
Two of the victims are 15 years old , and other is believed to be older, JSO said.
A man told Action News Jax his teen stepson and his stepson's friend were shot while walking home from a nearby park in the in the 5300 block of Lexington Avenue in the Lakeshore South neighborhood.
The teens were walking when a car drove by and fired several shots. The man told us his stepson was hit in the leg and his stepson's friend was hit in the hand.
A family member drove the teens to St. Vincent's hospital.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said that a third teen was shot tool.
As of late Sunday night, police were collecting shell casings and talking to witnesses about what they saw in effort to identify the suspect.
The teens' injuries are non-life-threatening.
