Woman is dead after being found in pool, Jacksonville police say

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported drowning on 9439 San Jose Boulevard.

At around 6:45 a.m. they located a woman in her mid-thirties in the pool apartment complex.

She was brought out of the pool by police and the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department.

After lifesaving measures, the woman was pronounced dead on scene.

According to JSO, no foul play was suspected.

The investigation is still ongoing and detectives are speaking to family members.

JSO does not know for how long she may have been in the pool. Homicide detectives, crime scene unit detectives, and investigators with the medical examiner’s office are on the scene.

JSO does not know if she drowned.

Police say there are indications she drowned but have to wait for the Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of death.
