Jacksonville woman wins $1 million in Florida Lottery scratch-off

Jacksonville resident Christine Tomkowich, 20, claimed a $1 million prize when she bought a $20 Gold Rush Scratch-Off ticket.

Tomkowich bought the ticket at the Kangaroo Express at 12020 Fort Caroline Road.

She chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $745,000.

The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The $5,000,000 Gold Rush Doubler game features six top prizes of $5 million, 30 prizes of $1 million, and more than $752 million in total cash prizes.
