JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating after a man was shot Friday afternoon in the 1400 block of E. 20th Street, off of Talleyrand Avenue.
The man who was shot was transported to UF Health at Jacksonville with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
Police were called to the area around 3 p.m. The incident stemmed from an argument between a large group of people, about five to six people on both sides.
Investigators are still working to gather a suspect description and find out what the argument was about. They are still waiting to talk to the victim.
Residents in the area are encouraged to stay in their homes during the investigation.
