Jacksonville police seeks missing 14-year-old teen

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is searching for a 14-year-old runaway who was last seen Monday.

Kelly Christine Dalvine, the mother of the missing Taylor Jean Dalvine, told police she spoke with her daughter before she went to bed on Monday. She later contacted JSO after her daughter didn't come home from school on Tuesday.

The mother said her conversation with her daughter was "normal" and that she has no health-related issues.

Kelly Dalvine told police her daughter usually leaves for school at 6 a.m. and arrives home no later than 5:30 p.m.

The daughter was reportedly last seen wearing blue shorts and a white shirt.

Dalvine said her daughter has no phone, no Facebook account and doesn't use the computer. The mother said she doesn't know who her daughter's friends are and doesn't know where she hangs out.

JSO said this is the first time the teen has been reported as a runaway. Taylor Dalvine was placed under the Baker Act in February and April by the Duval School Board Police, police said.

Action News Jax is working to obtained a photo of the missing teen.
