JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — For the first time in school history the Jacksonville University Women's Basketball team is headed to the NCAA Tournament.

The Dolphins scored an historic upset over Florida Gulf Coast University in Sunday's Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament Championship.

Brandi Buie provided the heroics scoring on a baseline jumper with just three seconds left to give Jacksonville a 56 to 54 lead it would not relinquish.

It's a big victory for head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin in her third season with the Dolphins.

She led the team to a 19-10 mark in the regular season and the second seed in the A-Sun tournament.

Following home wins over Lipscomb and USC Upstate the Dolphins travelled to Ft. Myers to face top seeded FGCU, a team that went 14-0 in conference play this season.

The Dolphins will find out who they face in the NCAA Tournament on Monday when the field of 64 is announced.
