Jonathan Elrod, 27, refused to come out of the home or let his wife leave the house, officials said.

Officers called more units to the house and two hostage negotiators were eventually able to convince Elrod to let his wife leave.

She made it out of the house safely and officers got a search warrant and arrested Elrod.

He was taken to the Glynn County Detention Center without incident, officials said.

Elrod faces charges of battery, terroristic threats or acts and false imprisonment.
