Man reported missing found in Virginia

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office canceled a Silver Alert issued for an 83-year-old man.

Howard Franklin found in Virginia early Wednesday morning, according SJSO. Virginia authorities found him driving his pickup truck shortly after 2 a.m.

The alert was issued Tuesday when he was reported missing by his family. According to SJSO, Franklin has diminished mental capacity.
