Naked man found sleeping outside Julington Creek restaurant, deputies say

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — A man faces charges after being accused of sleeping nude on the patio of Maple Street Biscuit Company in Julington Creek.

St. Johns County Sheriff's deputies responded Saturday at about 5:15 a.m. to a call about a nude man sleeping on the patio of a business.

Deputies said they found Michael Horton, 43, sleeping on the patio, directly outside a glass door, using his clothes as a pillow.

The caller told deputies that she called authorities when she spotted him because she was afraid that he would wake up.

Horton told deputies after he was awakened that he needed a dry place to sleep.

Deputies said they had issued Horton a trespassing warning the day before.

Horton is taken into custody were he faced a charge of exposure of sexual organs.
