Police have identified a man who was hit and killed while crossing Beach Boulevard in Jacksonville on Saturday.
Police said Jose Antonio Irizarry, 58, was killed after he walked into traffic on Beach Boulevard near DeSalvo Road around 8:30 p.m.
Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department said Irizarry was dead when crews got to the scene.
This was the second crash that killed a pedestrian in Jacksonville on Saturday.
Another man was killed in a hit and run on Atlantic Boulevard around 5 a.m.
