JSO investigating man shot on Westside

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Police are investigating Wednesday morning on Jacksonville’s Westside.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to a call of a person shot in the 8300 Barracuda Road in response to an aggravated battery. The incident is a few blocks south of 103^rd Street.

JSO said a male was apparently shot by a female. The ages of those involved were not provided.

The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Officers are continuing to investigate.
