Police are looking for two men who ran away after shooting a woman in Moncrief on Monday afternoon.

Neighbors tell Action News Jax that a woman was shot as many as five times near West 29th and Stuart streets, close to the Brentwood Golf Course.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office blocked off the 3900 block of Stuart Street and several detectives were seen walking in and out of a blue house.

Police said a woman was shot on a porch by two men around 2 p.m. Immediately after the shooting, two men took off.

We talked to a neighbor who had been inside her home at the time of the shooting. She said her brother had been outside and had immediately run inside seconds after the shooting.

"He heard the gunshots. He turned around and saw a guy running down the street," Sheryl Coleman said.

Witnesses told police that one of the men who ran away was wearing a white shirt and red shoes and the other was wearing an all-black coat.

The woman was taken to UF Health Jacksonville. Action News Jax is working to learn more about her condition.
