Three Jacksonville teenagers were arrested after they tried to break into cars at a Ponte Vedra Beach condo complex, the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office said.
Two of the three suspects were juveniles. The third, Marcus Walters, 18, was released on $8,500 bail.
All three are charged with two counts of burglary to a conveyance and resisting arrest without violence. Walters was also charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
According to police, a Ponte Vedra Beach woman observed three males allegedly breaking into vehicles at the Fountains off A1A in the early-morning hours of Dec. 15.
Deputies said the three fled when police arrived, but they were quickly captured.
Police said Walters was driving a 2005 Honda. Two handguns -- both reported as stolen -- were found in the car, police said.
