Popular Jacksonville restaurant closes two years after cook killed

The Blind Rabbit, a popular restaurant in Jacksonville's Riverside neighborhood, announced on Facebook that it has closed its doors for good.

The restaurant announced the Riverside location was closing on Facebook on Sunday. The post did not say why managers decided to close it.

The Jacksonville Beach location will remain open, the Facebook post said.

The closure of the Riverside location comes two years after Blind Rabbit cook Daniel Rowe was killed.

Rowe was shot to death while taking out the trash in July 2015.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office charged 25-year-old Erron Markese Coleman with Rowe’s death.

Action News Jax reached out to Blind Rabbit for more information about the closure of the Riverside location.
