Recovery assistance center available in St. Augustine this Friday

U.S. Senator Marco Rubio has announced a comprehensive recovery assistance center in St. Augustine for residents affected by Hurricane Matthew.

Described as a one-stop-shop, the center will serve those in need with a wide variety of agencies and organizations on hand to offer help and guidance.

The assistance center will be open Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Galimore Center, 399 Riberia St.

U.S. Representative Ron DeSantis and St. Augustine Mayor Nancy Shaver will help in coordinating the event.

Organizations, companies, and state and local agencies who will be on site to help residents include:

  • Florida Department of Financial Services, Division of Consumer Services
  • Florida SBDC Network
  • U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
