Police: Teen shot in the leg on the Northside

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded Friday night to a reported aggravated battery at the Highlander Apartment Homes complex west of Dunn Avenue and Interstate 95.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Police are investigating after an 18-year-old man was shot in the leg Friday night.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office was called to the Highlander Apartment Homes complex west of Dunn Avenue and Interstate 95.

Officers confirmed five to six shots were heard.

The man was taken to UF Health Jacksonville with non-life-threatening injuries.

No suspect was identified and no one is in custody.
