JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — An owner of an Avondale ice cream shop is facing backlash following a rant that went viral.

The owner of Florida Creamery, Angela Lannon Wilcox, posted a comment in response to a Facebook status posted by Lisa Thomas, a San Marco business owner, according to Action News Jax partner the Jacksonville Business Journal.

Wilcox's comment read: "Do you have something better ... we have the BODY COUNT ... what you hot ... sheep ..."

Wilcox's comment and its subsequent replies referenced "Islamic extremists" and referred to fellow commenters as "stupid regurgitated dummies of the left" at several points in the conversation, according to the Jacksonville Business Journal.

Wilcox has since deleted her Facebook profile. However, a screenshot of the comments was posted on Imgur.

The ice cream shop received numerous negative reviews on Facebook throughout the day on Wednesday. The Facebook page was deleted by Wednesday night, according to the Jacksonville Business Journal.

On July 20, many Yelp users logged on to give the shop negative reviews.
