Scammers targeting military families with fraudulent calls

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Naval Hospital Jacksonville is renewing a fraud alert issued by TRICARE about scammers targeting military families.

TRICARE first reported concerns about fraudulent calls from the number (516).253.2565 in late May. They say scammers are encouraging people to give them their personal identifying information. TRICARE and it contractors will never call and ask for that type of sensitive information or health information.

If you get a call from 516.253.2565, do not give them any information. You are also encouraged to report the call to TRICARE’s Program Integrity Office.
