SJSO seeking surveillance video near home invasion

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office posted a plea on Facebook for the community's help with their investigation into a violent home invasion.

The home invasion happened Jan. 25 in St. Augustine at a home in the Ravenswood Forest development.

A victim of that home invasion spoke to Action News Jax about what happened.

That victim said three male suspects, two of them wearing masks, came into the home and were armed.

The victim said they were forced to the ground and held at gunpoint while the home was ransacked.

A neighbor's surveillance camera was able to catch a blue two-door car driving away from the scene.

Deputies said the suspects were driving a Hyundai. SJSO asked for help on Facebook with obtaining more video.

The post is asking anyone who lives on Shore Drive to contact investigators if they have video of traffic on their street.

Shore Drive is 6.2 miles from the address where the home invasion happened Jan. 25. The Sheriff's Office is not sharing more information about the ongoing investigation at this time.
