Glassdoor releases 'Best Places to Work' list

Glassdoor just released its revised list of the

Glassdoor, a website where employees and former employees anonymously review companies, used employee feedback about their work experiences between Nov. 2, 2015, and Oct. 30, 2016, to rank the businesses.

According to the site,

, a global management consulting firm, is the

. The company rose to the No. 1 spot after ranking second the year before.

Social media network Facebook snagged the No. 2 spot this year.

"Most employees speak favorably about their ability to have a real impact here," said Facebook's head of human resources, Lori Goler, according to

. "Many talk about the flexibility in the way we work. Your manager is there to care for you, set context and help you play to your strengths, give you feedback and goals, but let you do whatever you need to get there."

Glassdoor community expert Scott Dobroski said Facebook, which made the list for the seventh time, ranked high, in part, because of compensation and benefits satisfaction.

Airbnb, which ranked No. 35, dropped 34 spots from its No. 1 spot

Dobroski said the drop was because of reviews from employees who said the company has seen an increase in bureaucracy and a decrease in transparency from senior leaders, Tech Crunch reported.

Bain & Company, Google (No. 4) and Apple (No. 36) have appeared on the list every year since it debuted in 2008.

Clorox (No. 12) and lululemon (No. 38) were among 14 companies that made the list for the first time.

Other popular companies that made the list include LinkedIn (No. 8), Adobe (No. 9), Delta Air Lines (No. 21), Zillow (No. 29) and Microsoft (No. 37).
