In an exclusive interview with Matt Lauer, the wife of GOP presidential hopeful Donald Trump said she was excited to take the stage and didn't need to practice what she was going to say.

"I read once over it and that's all because I wrote it, with (as) little help ... as possible," she said.

Transcripts of first lady Michelle Obama's speech to the 2008 Democratic National Convention in Colorado showed that Mrs. Trump made some deviations, but other sentences were lifted verbatim.

She didn't offer NBC a sneak preview of what she was going to say.
