The Putnam County Sheriff's Office and the State Fire Marshal is investigating after two children were discovered dead in a house fire on Pomona Park.

The fire happened at 116 New York Lane, authorities said. The children were believed to still be in the residence when firefighters arrived. The home is at the end of a dead-end road near Highway 17.

The fire was fully-involved and inaccessible, authorities said. After firefighters gained entry to the home, the kids' bodies were found.
