Young returns home as NBA player for Pelicans

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Former Providence star and Florida Gator Patric Young returns to his hometown as a NBA player for the first time when his New Orleans Pelicans and Washington Wizards meet tonight at the Jacksonville Arena. 'I had about 28 ticket requests for tonight and we are going to try to make that happen," said Young who led the Florida Gators to four straight elite eights and a final four in his senior season. Young went undrafted this past June, but signed a two year deal with New Orleans after that. Young also helped Providence to a state championship in his senior season.
