2 men hurt in early morning shooting in Mandarin

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office says two men are hurt but expected to recover after an early morning shooting Monday.

It happened in the 9600 block of Price Park Drive in Jacksonville’s Mandarin neighborhood.

Officers responded to the area around 2:15 a.m. and found a man in his early 20s that had been shot. First responders took him to a local hospital for treatment.

Police are working to learn if the two men knew each other and what led to the shooting.

The other shooting victim, also in his early 20s, was able to take himself to the hospital, according to JSO.
