JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Clara White Mission is marking 20 years for a big event called "Feed the City."
Feed the City is more than just an event where hungry people get food.

They can also pick up some donated clothing and shoes, get free haircuts and even get bikes repaired.
The head of the Clara White Mission, Ju’Coby Pittman, says they've seen more people seeking help this year than last.

“A lot of individuals live from paycheck to paycheck and we just want to be that safety net for individuals who need help in the community. If the Clara White Mission can't do it, we have colleagues in the community we can refer them to, especially this time of year,” said Pittman.
Some 250 volunteers helped a 1,000 people Saturday.
