TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Florida State University campus is somber after a shooting Thursday morning left three people injured.
The Tallahassee Police Department said the shooter, Myron May, moved back to Tallahassee just three weeks ago.
The Tallahassee police department says around midnight May may showed up to FSU’s Strozier Library with a semi-automatic gun.
Action News was given cell phone video taken by a student moments after may arrives. The video shows one victim on ground holding his leg after he was shot.

“I yelled, ‘Oh my gosh, are you okay?’ I will not forget the look on his face because it was just pure shock,” Evans said.
Officers said May shot three people near the library’s lobby, including two students and one FSU employee.
Police say after the first round of shots, May reloaded his gun and starts to leave the library. But he didn’t make it far.
Witnesses said he refused to surrender and was shot and killed by officers.
Police said May moved to Tallahassee just three weeks ago and that he was troubled.

“Mr. May had a written journal and videos where expressed fear of being targeted and that he wanted to bring attention to the issue of targeting,” said an official from the Tallahassee Police Department.
Police say May was in a state of crisis and was paranoid that the government was targeting him.
Tallahassee police said May is from Dayton, Ohio, and went to Florida State University in 2005.
May went on to law school in Texas in 2009 and practiced in the area.

Police said he just moved back to Tallahassee just three weeks ago and when he came back, he was troubled.

They are hoping his journal and video left behind will shed new light on his violent attack.
