Jacksonville Jaguars’ Gardner Minshew no longer on team’s Reserve/ COVID-19 list

Jacksonville, FL — Aug. 4 UPDATE: Jacksonville Jaguars’ Gardner Minshew is no longer on team’s Reserve/ COVID-19 list and is now back to work.

“The Jaguars have activated QB Gardner Minshew II and S Andrew Wingard from the team’s Reserve/COVID-19 list and have moved CB D.J. Hayden (knee) off the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list. All three players are now on the club’s active roster,” the Jags told Action News Jax in a statement.

The list is a new category created by the NFL for a player who tests positive for the virus, or who has been quarantined after having close contact with an infected person.

Original Story from Aug. 2:

Gardner Minshew is one of five players added to the team’s Reserve/COVID-19 list.

The other players added to the list are RB Ryquell Armstead, TE Charles Jones, WR Michael Walker, and S Andrew Wingard.

The Jaguars cannot comment on a player’s medical status, only its roster status. The team cannot say whether these players have tested positive for COVID-19. However, players can disclose their own medical information if they choose to do so.
