JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATE: The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate this officer-involved shooting.
JSO released a previous mugshot from the suspect, Darrell Paige, 21.
Paige was been arrested and charged with fleeing a law enforcement officer, reckless driving, and driving while license suspended, canceled or revoked.
Surveillance video shows what the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said are the final seconds of a high-speed chase, Sunday.
Moment later in the footage, someone can be seen running from the flashing lights across San Jose Boulevard with another person close behind – both disappear around the back of a building.
Video from a different angle appears to show an officer circling around the other side of the shopping plaza.
Homeowner Jennifer Crady told Action News Jax the foot chase happened just one block from her home in Mandarin. “That’s scary because it’s too close to home,” Crady said.

According to JSO, the chase started as an attempted traffic stop more than seven miles away at the intersection of University Boulevard and Powers Avenue.
Investigators said the driver of the car sped away, officers followed and eventually ended the chase with stop-sticks on San Jose Boulevard.
JSO said when the driver ran, police followed and Officer M. Campfee shot him in the leg.
Early Monday morning, investigators confirmed they were questioning the six people who were packed in the car with the suspect.
According to police, the suspect who was shot in the leg, was in stable condition at the hospital. They say there were no injuries to officers.
“I’m happy police caught him, but I would like more information as to what actually happened,” Crady said.
JSO said the officer involved was placed on leave which is protocol.
