Delaluz said he was close friends with Alonzo and said Alonzo loved being a big brother to his three younger siblings.

Delaluz said he wasn't with Alonzo the night he was killed.

"I found out the next day and I just broke down into pieces," Delaluz said. "I couldn't believe it thought it was a dream that I couldn't wake up from."

Delaluz said Alonzo had dreams of one day owning his own business, but his future was cut short around 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

Alonzo was rushed to the hospital but later died.

"Now he's in a better place," Delaluz said. "I wish I could just have him be next to me. It's really hard."

JSO said the investigation is ongoing.
