A sedan driven by a 24-year-old woman from Jacksonville was driving northbound on Roosevelt Blvd. in the left lane, FHP said.

Another sedan, driven by a 66-year-old woman from Moore, South Carolina, was “attempting to turn left from a driveway access to proceed south,” FHP said.

There was also a passenger in the car driven by the 66-year-old woman, a 78-year-old man from Jacksonville.

The car waiting to turn “pulled into the path” of the sedan that was driving northbound and caused the front of the car driving north to hit the left side of the car that was turning, FHP said.

Everyone involved in the crash was taken to the hospital, FHP said.

FHP said the 66-year-old woman and 78-year-old man were later pronounced dead at the hospital.
