$7,500 offered for information leading to arrest in hit-and-run death of Brunswick teen

UPDATE: Arrest made in hit-and-run death of Brunswick teen

A $7,500 reward is being offered to anyone with information in a hit-and-run crash that killed a Brunswick 18-year-old.

Tashara Culbreath was found dead on U.S. 17 just south of Palmera Lane early in the morning on Sept. 16.

Initially, police offered a $2,500 reward is for information that leads to an arrest of the person responsible for Culbreath's death, the Glynn County Police Department said.

According to family, she was walking to a friend's house when she was hit. Police say the driver took off.

The owners of the McDonald's where Culbreath worked pledged $5,000 as well, bringing the total of the reward being offered to $7,500.

A vigil will be held for Culbreath at her mother's home on Evergreen Street in Brunswick on Friday at 8 p.m.
