JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Florida students preparing for the upcoming school year have until Aug. 31 to submit their Florida Financial Aid Application to be considered for a Bright Futures Scholarship.
The Bright Futures Scholarship Program rewards students for academic achievement and community involvement to make higher education and career training more affordable. Funded by the Florida Lottery for more than three decades, the program has provided more than $51 billion in educational funding and supported more than 1 million students attending Florida colleges, universities and technical institutions.
“The Bright Futures Scholarship Program has helped generations of Florida students turn their dreams into reality by providing critical support throughout their educational journeys. We advise every student to learn more about the program and understand the requirements they must meet to receive a Bright Futures Scholarship,” Florida Lottery Secretary Reginald D. Dixon said.
To assist students and families with the application process, the Florida Lottery released a public service announcement detailing key eligibility requirements. Additional announcements covering award options, career pathways and technical education are available in English and Spanish on the Florida Lottery’s YouTube channel. Information and application materials can be accessed at brightfuturesroadmap.com or floridabrightfutures.gov.
Students seeking consideration for a Bright Futures Scholarship must complete and submit their Florida Financial Aid Application by Aug. 31.
