JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Florida State Fire Marshal Jimmy Patronis announced the arrest of men who allegedly set fires inside a Jacksonville Lowe’s Home Improvement Store.
Crispen Jeremy Hart and Donovan Latravian Frank were arrested by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) and booked into the Duval County Jail.
Hart and Frank are charged with arson and each face more than 20 years in prison.
Lowes staff told police that they had located three items that had been set on fire inside the store, according to state investigators. The men were also seen on store surveillance video walking in the area of the fires.
According to court records, Hart was convicted of another arson in Santa Rosa County in 2011.
In an official statement, Jimmy Patronis said, “It is fortunate that no one was injured in this incident. Arson has no place in our state, and if you choose to commit this crime, you will be brought to justice and held accountable. I appreciate the hard work of my arson detectives.”
