Getting a concealed weapons permit in Florida could get a little cheaper.
A bill to reduce the price has cleared another hurdle in Tallahassee. The bill could shave $10 off of the price of a concealed weapons permit.
It's an idea Brian McCrary says is welcome.
“In light of what DC is trying to do, I think it's beneficial for those of us in the state of Florida if you were to lower the cost of it,” said McCrary.
The bill, which passed a senate subcommittee Thursday, would lower the cost of a concealed weapons permit from $70 to $60 and renewal fees would go from $60 to $50.
