This weekend is the Sea and Sky Spectacular and a couple of Blue Angels landed ahead of schedule Wednesday morning to help prepare for the rest of their team.

They landed at Naval Air Station Jacksonville to go over the final arrangements for the air show and also give civilians a chance to fly with them.

"It's always exciting when I get to meet them. A lot of them are normally nervous but after giving them the proper briefing, they're always ready to rock and get in the aircraft," said Petty Officer 2nd Class Arthur Stockpole, who helps brief civilians before they ride.

Stockpole is originally from Jamaica.

He joined the Blue Angels after coming to the United States and serving in the Navy.

Now he's with the Angels for 66 shows in 34 different locations each year.

He said this is his second time in Jacksonville.

"Jacksonville is awesome because it reminds me of Jamaica -- the weather, the beaches -- so I was looking forward to coming," Stockpole said.
