JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — 10:50 AM: A man is recovering at the hospital after being shot in the shoulder at about 5 a.m. Wednesday on the Southside. Jacksonville police were called to the Riverview Apartments in the 300 block of Caravan Circle in response to a person who was shot.
Officers arrived and found the victim, a man in his 20’s, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital with an injury that is not life-threatening, police said.
The victim and another man were in an argument earlier in the day, a Jacksonville police news release states. The man left and later returned and opened fire on the victim, police said. The victim returned fire on the man who left the scene.
No arrests were announced.

7:20 AM: Jacksonville police said investigators are on the scene of a reported shooting in the area of Riverview Apartments in the 300 block of Caravan Circle. Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department said they have taken one person to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

6:10 AM: Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is on the scene of what appears to be an investigation at a Southside apartment complex Wednesday morning.
Action News Jax is there at Riverview Apartments in the 300 block of Caravan Circle observing police in the area who have cordoned off the complex with police tape. Multiple evidence markers have been placed around the parking lot.
