Officer-involved crash with injuries on Arlington Expressway, JSO says

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATE 9:30 A.M.: All lanes on the Arlington Expressway at the Southside Connector are back open.

UPDATE 6:30 A.M.: A driver had their tired blow out and a JSO officer stopped to help. At this time, someone else hit the officer's vehicle from behind. The officer was taken to a local hospital, but has already been released with minor injuries.

Alcohol is not suspected as a cause of the crash at this time, JSO says.

An officer-involved crash with injuries has been reported on the Arlington Expressway at the Southside Connector, JSO says.

Eastbound lanes of the Arlington Expressway are expected to reopen in the next 30 minutes.
