St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office released video Thursday of deputies responding to a home, where it found a truly wild scene - a deer trapped in a home.
Deputies and someone inside the house decided to give the frightened animal few options, blocking all but the exits from the home.
The deer left, but decided to take a dip in the swimming pool before making its way back into the woods.
“SJSO deputies responded to a home and found a large buck in the bathroom... a true deer-in-the-headlights moment,” the department’s post on Facebook read.
“Using only their wits and a pool brush, deputies helped the buck safely escape back into the woods. The buck fled before deputies could issue a warning for trespassing.”
