Framed structure on State Route 47 near I-75 sags into rubble

LAKE CITY, Fla. — A building under construction to become a Zaxby’s restaurant near I-75 in Lake City collapsed amid rain, officials said.

Much of the frame of the structure on State Route 47 had been built but collapsed on Thursday. No one was injured.

Officials said the collapse may be weather-related, but won’t know until an investigation is concluded.
