Student reported to be bringing weapon to Camden County High School, no weapon found

Officers searched a student for weapons at Camden County High School on Thursday morning after getting a report that the student intended to bring a weapon to school.

Camden County Schools said in a news release that “school officials were notified of a potential threat” on Thursday morning.

School resource officers “met the student as they entered the school and performed a search. No weapon was found.”

The Kingsland Police Department also responded to assist in investigating the threat.
