ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — A car crashed into the front doors of Bartram Academy Friday morning.

School officials said the car crashed into the front doors of the lobby. St. Johns County Fire Rescue said there is minor damage to the doors.

About 60 children were in classrooms at the time of the crash. No one was injured, according to SJFR.

The owner said the driver is a mother who was dropping off her child at the daycare. The driver and her child are OK, officials said.

Officials said a woman thought she had hit the brake, but hit the accelerator instead. Officials said if the driver is charged she'd be fined for careless driving.

School officials said the building is structurally sound.

The vehicle has damage to its front bumper, officials said.
