JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating a two-vehicle traffic crash that left one vehicle lodged into a building in College Park.
Police reported a traffic crash with injuries at the intersection of Tyler Street and Kings Road around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, which is only yards away from a dorm hall at Edward Waters College.
Action News Jax found a sedan and van with significant damage. Police said one person suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital, but did not clarify which car they were in at the time of the crash.

The sedan was found halfway in a corner building. Reporter Elizabeth Pace found a nearly nine-foot hole and debris one the side of the building the following morning.
Action News Jax has requested the crash report from JSO, and reached out to police directly to learn what caused the crash, who was injured, and if anyone was in the building at the time; we are waiting to hear back.
Neighbors who didn’t want to be on camera said this building has been vacant for years. A broken sign for a dry cleaning store hung above the damage.
Online property search records show Joseph M LLC purchased the building in 2016 and listed the property use as 4100 Manufacture Light.
