CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — The Clay County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a man was fatally shot on Silverado Circle in Lake Asbury on Friday night.

The victim, identified as 48-year-old Paul Trossevin, found 47-year-old Arthur Anthony Grossie, at his front door. According to the Sheriff's Office, Grossie and Trossevin were "having troubles due to a business venture they were involved in together" that did not work out as Grossie had hoped.

Trossevin and Grossie began to engage in a verbal altercation. Inside the house were Trossevin's daughter and wife, who heard a gunshot. While she was heading outside to check what was going on, she heard a second and third gunshot.

She found her husband lying on the ground outside the door and Grossie falling to the ground in the front yard.

According to CCSO, Grossie was taken to UF Health Jacksonville and is being treated for an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the face. He is expected to recover.
