Charter school gets warning to boost enrollment

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A charter school could be forced to close if it doesn't get its enrollment numbers up.

The Duval County School Board voted Tuesday to give Scholar Preparatory Academy a warning.

The school is in the Bank of America Office Park on Southside Boulevard.

Ford said the charter's contract with the district could be terminated at the end of a 90-day warning period.

The school has fewer than 100 students, according to school district spokeswoman, Tia Ford.
