Cinderella is coming to St. Johns County

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — Zoika’s Dance Studio will be putting on the play of Cinderella at Lewis Auditorium in St. Augustine.

The production is described as a classic fairytale through modern dance, with genres including traditional ballet, hip-hop, tap, jazz, acro and contemporary dance.

The team has partneredZoi with local nonprofits, Fostering Connections, the Betty Griffin House, Florida School for the Deaf and Blind and Deafinite Movement, to provide tickets for children served by the organizations to attend the shows at no cost. Signing will be provided by deaf interpreter Amanda Villaobos.

Zoika’s Dance has made it its mission to share the magic of Cinderella with children in the community who might not otherwise be able to attend.

“It is our greatest joy to share dance with children,” director and choreographer Zoika Garcia saidf “It is also a joy for young dancers to share what they have worked so hard to create with other children who might not otherwise be able to experience it.”

Ticket sales to the general public are on sale for $20 and $30.

One show will take place on Sat., May 20 at 7 p.m. and two shows on Sun., May 21 at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m.
