CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — Clay County Animal Care and Control is no longer in danger of euthanizing animals.
The shelter became critically full last week after 67 animals were dropped off at the animal shelter in one week. The animals included 35 dogs, 21 kittens and 11 cats.
The total number of animals last Friday was 220, which resulted in most of the dogs sharing kennels.
Shelter officials told Action News Jax that they now have 186 animals, but they still need people to adopt them.
