2 school buses reportedly shot with a BB gun, Clay County Sheriff’s Office says

GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. — Two school buses were reportedly shot at with a BB gun Tuesday morning in Clay County according to deputies.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation after it received a call around 5:45 a.m.

Officials said both buses were on their route to pick up students when the buses were shot at.

The Clay County District Schools Police Department said one bus was shot on Henley Road between Lake Asbury and the other at Blanding Boulevard and Henley Road.

The driver’s window of one bus had been shot and the other bus had been shot on the passenger side, officials told Action News Jax.

Both buses had three people on board at the time: a driver, an attendant and a student. No one was hurt.

CCSO is still searching for a suspect.
