Dr. Peter Gianas — a man who was committed to serving Clay County for more than 20 years — has sadly passed away, according to the Clay County Florida Emergency Management.
The Clay County Florida Emergency Management announced the sad news on Facebook Thursday morning.
Known as “Dr. G” to most in the community, dedicated his life as an emergency medicine physician to many Clay County community organizations.
During his long career as an emergency medicine physician, he also helped serve the communities of Alachua, Bradford, and Union County.
The Clay County Florida Emergency Management said the passing of Dr. Gianas was a “tremendous loss” to the community.
“Our prayers go out to his loved ones, as well as the entire Public Safety and medical community on this tremendous loss.”
