LAKE CITY, Fla. — A bicyclist is in critical condition after being hit by a car in Lake City on Sunday night.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the crash happened around 9 p.m. on State Road 247 near SW Zierke Drive, which is west of Interstate 75.
FHP said the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
A Ford Focus driven by a 17-year-old girl was traveling south on SR 247 west of I-75, FHP said.
The bicyclist, a 37-year-old man, was also traveling south on SR 247. FHP said the front right side of the Focus collided with the bicycle.
